Comforting Winter Food Baby Can Enjoy: Arroz con Leche Recipe
Arroz con leche (rice pudding) is a dessert I grew up eating and that my oldest daughter now enjoys as well. It’s creamy, sweet, and full of that wonderful cinnamon smell. It makes a great comfort food and is perfect for cold winter months if served warm. You can also serve cold if preferred. Since it’s a pudding, it’s definitely something baby can enjoy too! What a great way to introduce baby to some new flavors!
Typically, arroz con leche consists of rice, milk, and cinnamon. Depending on the recipe, you’ll find variations of using evaporated milk, condensed milk, and regular milk – or even a combination of two of the three. Some people like to add raisins to their arroz con leche too, which also works great for babies and toddlers. Either way, arroz con leche is sure to be loved by your baby (and your whole family, I’m sure)!
