Creative Ways to Celebrate Thanksgiving as a Family

Thanksgiving is one of those quick holidays that comes and goes too fast. I get caught up in the menu and sometimes miss the entire point of the holiday. With three little ones in the picture now, I want to make sure that Thanksgiving is a meaningful holiday for our family. I want to make sure that we practice gratitude and give thanks, and not just stuff ourselves full of turkey.

If you’re looking for some creative ways to celebrate Thanksgiving as a family, here are some great ideas…

25+ Ways to Celebrate Christmas with Baby

The holiday season is finally upon us, and I couldn’t be more excited! This will be Margot’s very first Christmas, which is always super special. I love the holiday season and try to make the very most of it, especially now that I’m a mom. Even before Thanksgiving, we’re listening to holiday music and doing Christmas crafts. This is one of my favorite times of year, as we draw near to give thanks and celebrate the holidays as a family.

Here are 25+ things to make, see, & do with baby this holiday season…

My Top 12 At-Home Cold Remedies for Babies & Toddlers

Cold and flu season is upon us. As a mother of three little ones, I know just how rough this time of year can be. From coughs and colds to fevers and flu, kiddos get sick pretty often.

Like most mamas, I prefer to do things the all-natural way to keep my baby healthy and safe. Yes, sometimes medicine is necessary, but there are many natural ways to soothe colds at home! As always, ask your doctor what’s best for your little one.

DIY Discovery Bottles for Baby

As a mama to three little ones, I am constantly thinking of fun things to do with my kids. I’ve got a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and a 7-month-old, so it can be difficult to find activities or projects that are appropriate for all three of them.

We just got our hands on a new book that is sure to keep the winter boredom away, and found the perfect activity for all of my girls to enjoy – Discovery Bottles! My older girls made these discovery bottles using some odds and ends from our craft supplies and the baby had so much fun playing with them when they were finished!

When Baby Is Sick

This past weekend, Margot was sick for the very first time. We were lucky she made it to 7 months old before she ever got a bug. But oh my goodness, there is nothing worse than a sick baby. She wasn’t even THAT sick, not really. She didn’t have a fever or an infection. She just had a really bad cold. She couldn’t sleep because she couldn’t breathe. She wouldn’t nurse because she couldn’t breathe. Instead, she just wanted to cry and be held in our arms. It was heartbreaking.
